Under the IMS each depot is provided with a Site Based Management Plan (SBMP) for the day-to-day management of their operations. This means that each of the functional areas of management are responsible for integrating safety requirements into their daily operations/work procedures.
At J.J. Richards our most important consideration is the safety of our employees, customers, contractors and the wider community. We are committed to continually improving and refining our operations and processes to minimise the impact they have on health and safety and this is reflected in our Health and Safety Policy.
- Has incorporated safety into its Integrated Management System to ensure that practical and
reasonable safety management is incorporated into our daily activities
- Promotes ongoing employee participation in the hazard identification, reporting, risk
assessment and risk management processes
- Incorporates safety into inductions
- Provides ongoing training, to ensure that all staff are aware of the hazards associated with
the workplace and the control measures in place to manage these risks
