THE ROLE

With J.J. Richards’ focus on innovation, safety and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Operations Manager based in our Rockhampton depot to lead our team of waste vehicle operators to effectively manage daily operational goals.  This role calls for a Manager who is driven to succeed through team engagement and an understanding of principles that underpin excellence in transport operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with operations on a day to day basis
  • Establish and manage relations with customers, team members and others as required
  • Mentor and train your team
  • Comply with laws, regulations and requirements including OH&S with an understanding of return to work processes
  • Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement
  • Strategically identify run efficiencies and calculate plans for improvement
  • Work closely with the branch manager to improve performance and continually increase fleet productivity

THE CANDIDATE

  • Must have current MC (Multi-Combination) licence
  • Be able to provide an up to date Driving Record at interview stage
  • Must have relevant management experience with teams in excess of 50 staff
  • Well-developed people and time management skills
  • KPI focused with the ability to perform under pressure
  • Be able to demonstrate autonomous and developmental management
  • Well-developed skills in managing remote resources and assets to achieve Operational objectives
  • Able to successfully satisfy a pre-employment medical
