Regional HSE Coordinator - NSW, ACT & WA

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator who is reliable, genuine, hardworking and enjoys a fast-paced, ever-changing working environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide advice and guidance to management on Health, Safety and Environmental issues affecting their area of responsibility
  • Development, review and implementation of Company policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Development and implementation of critical risk identification and management processes
  • Develop and present training packages to managers and employees on any related issue
  • Manage and undertake the investigation of HSE related incidents
  • Conduct audits and site inspections to monitor compliance with system and legislative requirements
  • Implement the Company’s established rehabilitation and fitness for work policies and procedures

THE CANDIDATE

  • Minimum Diploma in OHS/ WHS
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar HSE role
  • Experience within the waste management or transport industry is highly desirable
  • Trade qualifications desirable
  • Experience in fixed plant and mobile equipment
  • Qualifications in a recognised Incident Investigation Methodology
  • Training in risk management and auditing
  • Training in first aid
  • Qualifications in Return to Work/ Rehabilitation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management and administration skills
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis
