Construction & Demolition Waste Resource Recovery

JJ’s Waste operates a construction and demolition Waste Resource Recovery Facility known as JJ’s North End. JJ’s North End is located in a former hard rock quarry at Oxenford in South East Queensland where they engage in practices to promote recovery and recycling of wastes generated by the construction and demolition industry.

Incoming mixed waste once destined for landfill burial, is sorted and screened to recover commodities including soil, steel, concrete, timber and green waste. These are either sent for recycling and/or beneficial reuse off site or are further processed at North End into products such as turf underlay soil, crushed concrete road base and drainage aggregate. Residual wastes are either landfilled as part of the ongoing restoration of the quarry or are transferred to licensed sites elsewhere.
